The Spanish artist Juan Carlos Rosa Casasola, works on transdisciplinary projects about diversity, digital distance, and globalization. His work has been exhibited in New York, London, Berlin, Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. Currently, his speech focuses on visibility and immersion and takes as its origin approaches around the binomial space-time, public-private, individual-collective and virtual networks.
At Wild Tales, he is showing works of #Show and #Smartpaint series, since the opening last Thursday 19th. On #Show drawings and paintings he creates colorful combinations of clothes racks and tropical plants on VR scenarios. The way he uses the clothes allows him to show the joy of diversity, without pointing or forgetting any gender, origin, body shape, skin color or any other label. At his #Smartpaints digital collages, he juxtaposes icons of the painting and icons of the mobile devices, linking the time of the “New World’s Discovery” and the “New Internet’s World”. Is our phone able to describe our way of living?
The talk is driven by Cristina Benzi, whose artist’s interviews are on magazines as Artefuse, Azucarmag, Art Sevilla, and at her blog Modermastersartworks.
