Naiara Valdano has worked with collages during all her life, mainly around two themes. In the first place, she creates works that focus on female stereotypes published in fashion, beauty or design magazines. With a colorful and sometimes ironic aesthetic, her works try to criticize the use of women body inactive objects by the media, desirable only for their beauty, their physique or their youth.
On the other hand, she also creates other types of collage, a selection of landscapes and still lifes in which women appear only as part of the landscape (as a criticism towards that publicity that represents women as decorative beings without any activity).
